THE ICEBERG PROJECT
The Iceberg Project is an online application/website I built after completing a purely analogue photographic project from 2018.
For the online version an image of an iceberg model is loaded into the browser, however with every page hit from a unique visitor there is a tiny decrement in the quality of the photograph of the iceberg. In addition to this, even if there are no visitors to the site, there is a still a small daily decrement to the image quality.
The bind is that the more popular the project and the more exposure it gets the quicker the photograph of the iceberg will disappear, eventually becoming completely invisible.
The viewer therefore becomes unknowingly complicit in the destruction of the work.
