GREEN AND WHITE
2021

These photographs were taken in Quzhou, China, which is my hometown. In taking these, I was trying to capture beautiful natural views. However, this was unattainable due to serious environmental pollution.

There is a lot of garbage thrown around these locations by people who living nearby. Nature is often treated similarly to a landfill. In addition, huge tracts of land have been ruined by the building of factories and converted fields, which have had disastrous consequences for local animal populations, particularly birds, rabbits and insects.

I thought that there should be a border between humans and nature, so that we can listen to the voice from each other. To enjoy a bond, and connections that form.
